ACADEMY pathway

Swimmers graduate from our Penguin Squads progress onto the next step in their swimming journey.  Academy Pathway is aimed at swimmers  who love to swim for fun, still compete but below a County Level or simply swim for just fitness.

Swimmers progress from our Penguin Squads into these groups and with 2 sessions available weekly this gives swimmers the opportunity to focus on building stamina and strength over longer distances as well as cementing good technique. There is no commitment criteria and swimmers may attend as frequently or infrequently as they like. However, if swimmers want to improve in their skills and fitness then regular attendance is recommended.

Swimmers will progress from Academy 2 to Academy 1 on an age basis and again into Masters when they reach the age of 18.

Our Masters Squad sits within this our Academy pathway as we hope to see that even post 18 years of age, our swimmers continue to participate in swimming and continue a lifelong love of swimming.
