CEO Update

Hi all, I hope this update finds you well and looking forward to a bank holiday / half-term!!

The process of securing a new Head Coach continues. We saw some very credible candidates last week and enjoyed spending time with people passionate about their swimming. Two candidates didn’t quite have the breadth and depth of experience we were looking for and we have passed on our feedback and best wishes for their future. We are now looking at two remaining candidates / options but are not quite at a point where we can make a final decision and offer. We are determined to make the very best decision for the Charity, not necessarily a quick decision. As such we will continue talking with those still involved in the process after half-term.

In other areas I can feel the excitement, and volume of work, building towards the Schools Gala on Friday 8th June. It’s going to be another tremendous day for all the swimmers and the 27 schools they represent. A big thank-you to all the volunteers and staff currently contributing to this massive project.

You will also start to hear a lot more about Fundraising over the coming weeks. Emily and her team have come on board with ideas and enthusiasm aplenty and it’s been good to work with the management team to try and establish what would really add value through additional fundraising.

Finally, Good Luck to all the swimmers away at Regionals this weekend – do yourselves, your family and the club proud.

Premier League Gala

A massive well done to all those who swam in the premier league gala last weekend at Eastleigh and Fareham. Some fantastic pbs, excellent racing and a great team spirit shown throughout the whole event.

Good Luck

Good luck to all our Regional 14 and under swimmers competing this weekend, and to Oskar Priesemann who is swimming at the German Age Group Nationals next week.
