CEO Update

Hi All, hope all is well!!

This week has been all about interviewing for a new Head Coach. We have been thorough in putting together the job information and advert, and thorough in short-listing. We now wanted to continue this theme at the interview stage. As such, we asked candidates to prepare and deliver a presentation, arrive early for interview for a pre-interview task, meet members of staff and Trustees informally, have a coaching practical, as well as the normal question and answer session with the interview panel. We have one more to see tomorrow and will be reviewing our options early next week.

Alongside interviews, we’ve also hosted another volunteer meeting to continue drafting the priorities in a number of key areas such as fundraising, team management, marketing and communications, as well as IT. You will be hearing a lot more about these shortly, especially fundraising as we look to kick off some new initiatives soon. Thank-you to all the volunteers that are supporting that process.

There was another consultation event for the proposed Winchester Sport and Leisure Park this week. Plans for the whole park, as well the Sports Centre itself, were shared in more detail as they move towards a planning application submission next month. The proposed transport and access links were also provided. There were new mock-ups of what it will look like presented, these can be found on the council website here

Lost Property

Ben appears to have misplaced his goggles coming into the swimming pool building last Thursday before his lesson at 7pm. They are prescriptive googles – blue tinted with a black strap. There is a +4 on either side of the eye pieces. It is unlikely that anyone will be able to see anything through them! If anyone has found them, please contact Connie.
