Winchester City Penguins Swimming Club has a competitive swimming programme which aims to develop swimmers of all ages and abilities to reach their potential. The programme caters for swimmers training for fitness through to high performance athletes.
The programme is led by Head of Performance, Kim Hill with a dedicated and passionate team of qualified coaches Kim was a coach for Great Britain European Youth Olympic Team in 2013, and has worked at all levels within the sport including over 10 Junior and Senior Internationals and with over 30 National medallists. In 2014 Kim was also a Mentor Coach for FINA at the Inaugural FINA Youth Programme, and has been Head Coach of the ASA England Talent Programmes camps and is Head County Coach for the Talent Development programme in Hampshire. Kim has been Head of Performance at Winchester since May 2014.
The competitive section of the club, now boasts the title of Top Club in Hampshire after our recent successes in both the County Championships and National Swimming league. We are seeing increasing numbers of swimmers qualifying for all levels of swimming – Development, County, Regional and National, including medallists.
