The 2017 Annual Primary Schools Swimming Gala will be held at River Park Leisure Centre.
Over the past sixteen years Winchester City Penguins Swimming Club has hosted an annual Swimming Gala for approximately 300 children from over 20 primary schools in the Winchester area. This very successful and popular event allows many young children to experience the excitement of participating in their first swimming competition.
Location: River Park Leisure Centre, Gordon Road, Winchester, SO23 7DD.
Date: Friday 16th June 2017
Time: 08:30 – 12:00
As well as the swimmers, their parents and teachers, our invited guests will include the Mayor of Winchester and our sponsors who help with the presentation of awards to the swimmers.
Support from local businesses and organisations makes it possible to cover core event costs, and reward all participating children with a T-shirt, goody bag and certificate. There are also trophies, medals and rosettes for the top six competitors in each event.
