British National Championships

There has been lots more action in July in the British Nationals in Sheffield.

The boys relay team stepped it up and dropped another 3 seconds from their regional qualifying swim at the British National Championships.

Marcus Scullion also hit a new personal best time in the 100m Fly!

Faye Francis and Charlotte Prince-Rayner competed in the 200m Backstroke.

Faye completed her British Championships placing 10th in the 50m Backstroke just 0.1 of a second outside of her new PB from the heats.

Marcus Scullion and Pietro Forconi were the last swimmers to compete with Marcus qualifying for his second British Final with a great pb in the 200m Backstroke.

Pietro Forconi won a bronze medal in a new personal best time in the 200m Freestyle final, then only 30 minutes later he won a silver medal in another huge personal best time in the 200m Backstroke! Finally, Pietro created Winchester history by becoming the first ever National Champion by a whopping 17 seconds in the 1500m Freestyle!

What a way to round off the British National Championships!
